What should I wear to a BJJ class?
For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing such as:

  • Shorts with no pockets
  • Leggings or tights (acceptable for women)

You may wear a rash guard from any brand for training.
For competitions, students typically wear a rash guard featuring our academy logo.
Fitted athletic tops help prevent fingers from catching and lower infection risk.

Is there adult Gi BJJ?
Not at this time — adult BJJ classes are No‑Gi only.

Is BJJ suitable for all ages?
Yes! We offer BJJ programs for children, teens, and adults, with classes tailored to each age group.

What are the hygiene requirements?
To maintain a clean and safe environment:

  • Fingernails must be trimmed
  • All gear must be washed after every single class (including kids’ gis)
  • Teens and adults should wear deodorant
  • All members must shower promptly following each class (including kids)
  • If you suspect any kind of infection, do not train until it is fully healed and/or cleared by a medical professional

What is BJJ and is there any hitting?
No — BJJ has no striking at all.
It is a grappling‑based martial art combining elements of wrestling and judo, focused on takedowns, positional control, and submission holds.
